I am on vacation in New York. Yesterday, I wanted a quiet place to read my book. I found a small cafe on the corner. I sat down and ordered a large latte. A few minutes later, a group of teenagers sat at the table next to mine. They talked very loudly about a movie. Then, a man started a video call on his laptop without headphones. I could not hear my own thoughts! I paid for my coffee and left. I went to the public library instead. It was very quiet there, but I fell asleep in five minutes.
